- Map the current owner: who remembers dates, schedules sessions, confirms rosters, stores records and follows up.
- Identify what breaks when that person is unavailable.
- Quantify operating complexity: locations, shifts, new hires, departments, employee count and renewal cycles.
- Ask what leadership cannot currently see without manual work.
- Confirm decision process, stakeholders, timing and budget range.
- Decide whether to create an Executive Workforce Readiness Plan, nurture or mark no fit.
